Long Dogs W.A. was founded in 2006 by Harley and Jett, they loved catching up so much and always seemed to cause a stir when they went out walking together so they thought "why not find more long dogs like us in W.A.
In April 2008 the blogsite was established and they started a social dachshund walking club.
The present main leash holder is Jo Tetlow, supported by a committee and a pack of helpers who work hard to organise events and fundraising.

If you order through Long Dogs WA, you can choose for the profits to go to either chilli fund or DRA. Chilli fund is our own account and funds raised go towards helping really sick or injured WA dachshunds and stays within our LDWA community in WA. Dachshund Rescue Australia (DRA) is Australia wide and they help re home dachshunds in need.

Come along to the walks, normally one every month, spread out at different venues around Perth have fun meeting other dachshund owners and their dogs.
We are always looking for helpers for events, marketing, planning, sponsorship, set up, lead walker, counters, raffle ticket sellers, photography, stall sales etc.
